Job Description

CACI is seeking a Project Manager -Sub Contracts / Suppliers for our program in San Antonio, TX. If you are looking to accept responsibility for the scope, schedule, and cost for one or more multi-faceted projects focused on aerospace electronics development and production. What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Addresses daily challenges that arise from operating in a highly matrixed, partially virtual organization.
  • Challenges faced are frequently complex and require broad-based solutions that impact multiple areas of the organization. 
  • Conducts briefings to mid-level leaders both within and outside of the program. 
  • Communicates with parties external to the organization, including customers and suppliers
  • Works from the CACI San Antonio office, virtually, and from out-of-state customer locations. 
  • Follows internal configuration management, ISO 9001 and AS9100 processes to optimize organizational efficiencies and ensure compliance with all project requirements and completion of all deliveries. 
  • Directs efforts of cross-competency teams. Manages organizational resources to support multiple concurrent teams of engineers and production technicians.
  • Supports proposal activity related to the program or project, including the scope of work, performance work statements, work specifications, and budgets. 

More About the Role:

  • Manages the day-to-day cost, schedule, and performance of one or more projects to maximize value to both the customer and to the company 
  • Communicates plans and execution status with the customer and subcontractor stakeholders frequently through telecommunications, in-person visit,s and formal deliverables. 
  • Reports project status to the Program Manager and internal leadership reviews 
  • Manages and oversees subcontractor efforts in support of the contract and assigned projects including preparation of work statements, sourcing, pricing, and subcontract award and execution coordinated through CACI procurement personnel and processes. 
  • Demonstrates strong financial management and technical background, with experience in managing firm fixed price projects related to development, upgrade and test of hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical systems and ground support equipment used in US Air Force depot operations. 
  • Applies earned value and risk management principles to develop and monitor 

This position is contingent on an additional contract award 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (US Citizenship)
  • Bachelor’s degree in systems, mechanical, or aerospace engineering. 
  • Experience with aerospace mechanical systems and components and related ground support product development, testing, or operational maintenance. 
  • Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®), or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification, or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Program Management certification. 
  • Seven years of experience in managing complex technical tasks providing products and services to DoD organizations.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking as required to support a range of recurring responsibilities

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Master's Degree in engineering. 
  • Relevant experience with AS-9100-certified programs
  • Experience with US Air Force Depot maintenance operations. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
