Join CACI’s talented team which provides technology solutions, systems integration and operational services that guides our customer’s service-centric IT efforts. We are seeking a cleared, highly experienced Communications Specialist to support our dynamic customer in Northern Virginia.
This is a fully funded position supporting our customer in Fairfax VA. Must be fully cleared with an active security clearance.
Support internal and external communications for a large telecommunication’s centric government agency with an external customer base of approximately 40 other government departments and agencies. Work across all parts of the Sponsor organization to develop content guidance for the corporate website, serve as the point of contact for content updates from each of the Sponsor groups. Support the annual drafting, development and preparation of the Sponsor’s Customer Satisfaction Survey; conduct other internal and external surveys, compile results, extract themes and provide recommendations on areas and activities to correct or continue. Develop communications outreach strategies that anticipate customer needs and provides pertinent and timely information when customers need it. Drive senior executive Front Office communications to include preparation of speeches, offsites and written communiques. Generate and coordinate external communiques focused and tailored to customers’ needs. Craft internal and external briefings in alignment with the audience and the Sponsor’s governing principles. Extract themes from meetings with the Front Office and develop articles and blog topics for review and dissemination.
Demonstrated experience supporting Government Senior Executives and managing internal and external communications efforts; Possession of strong written communication and oral presentation skills; Excellent editorial and grammar skills; Well-versed in all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; Possession of excellent time management and task prioritization skills; Ability to remain flexible and multitask while being proactive, quickly adapt to changing client priorities, and respond to ad hoc requests; Ability to build trust with the client and strong working relationships with onsite staff; Be detail oriented; Possession of excellent organizational skills; Possession of excellent customer service skills.
Manage the Sponsor’s Corporate Website; serve as the POC for updates
Support the drafting, development and dissemination of the Sponsor’s Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey; draft other internal and external surveys as required
Writes, edits, and reviews external communications for media, promotional/marketing efforts in print, and electronic formats.
Writes, edits, and reviews all internal corporate communications in print and electronic formats.
Compiles weekly Program Office highlights and prepare for submission to external senior executive stakeholders.
Interfaces regularly with senior executives on all communication strategies, efforts, and messages.
Fully accountable for the accuracy and quality control of all communications, and oversees the review process.
Plans, creates, coordinates, and implements a range of internal and external communication materials and programs.
On request, supports Director’s meetings including preparing an agenda, preparing, collecting or compiling presentations, and documenting meeting minutes.
May represent the organization during all phases of internal and external communications initiatives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
This position typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 12-15 years of related experience but for this position a Bachelor's Degree or higher plus 4-7 years; a Doctorate with 2 years; a Masters with 3 years; or an Associates with 8 years is acceptable. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and project management skills required. Must be fully cleared at the Poly level to qualify.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required
