CACI is actively looking for a senior data scientist, ideally with specific and significant experience in the collection, access, storage, exploitation, and dissemination of open source information from the internet to satisfy priority information requirements in support of multiple missions. The architecture will include social networking, multi-media, open source information, first line business intelligence applications, and software systems. The data scientist with utilize statistical techniques to analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of data through the creation, validation, and implementation of data models through automation and optimization of data extraction, cleaning, processing and analysis functions.
Extract, transform, load, and normalize large volumes of historical (extant) OSINT data
sets for exploitation, analysis, and visualization, in a variety of data stores, applications, and
Create a series of relational models with a graphical web relationship consisting of
resolved data sources, document(s), entities, data points, names, locations, and relationships
with visual links of their connections.
Collect, exploit, and disseminate traditional and non-traditional open source information.
Apply knowledge of capabilities and limitations of open source intelligence (OSINT)
collection to include internet data discovery, recognition of adversarial tactics, source vetting,
and data analytics.
Apply descriptive and inferential statistics to describe data and make predictions about the data, including statistical tests to determine confidence for a hypothesis, common summary statistics ( e.g. mean, variance, and counts), fit distributions to datasets and use those distributions to predict event likelihoods.
Produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic/soft copy matrices and/or web-enabled formats.
Develop structured research including, but not limited to, obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information within security and data protocols. Demonstrates ability to recognize nuances and resolve contradictions and inconsistencies in information.
Communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and/or technically advanced. Structures analytic questions based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
Knowledge of data transfer requirements for moving data between classified and unclassified computer systems.
