CACI is seeking a LVC Configuration Manager who will support Configuration Management (CM) of the infrastructure, network, telephone cables and equipment, physical locations of equipment, and facility features require baselines and shall be under change control at the Warrior Prep Center, Einsiedlerhof Air Station, Kaiserslautern, Germany. AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations. In the current resource constrained environment, demand for M&S rises with the continuously evolving need for operational readiness and mission preparedness across the USAF, DoD, and with coalition partners. AFAMS focuses on providing innovative M&S services as the key to meeting this demand.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Assist with CM duties, including the following: Maintain circuit action records, maintain Network and rack elevation diagrams.
Develop and maintain network diagram of network infrastructure for every communication room, including but not limited to: NIPRNET, SIPRNET, Coalition and Exercise networks, VTC systems, and telephones.
Network drawings shall be updated regularly to include all approved change orders executed the previous month, and other infrastructure characteristics (e.g., electrical power, Uninterruptible Power Supply coverage, hazardous materials, alarm systems, space utilization) as defined by WPC standards. Network drawings shall be updated monthly or as changes are made, to include all new and revised information obtained the previous month.
Contractor shall maintain a database of communications equipment (such as switches, routers, hub, and encryption devices) used in all of the WPC networks, plus items available as deployable assets or spares. The data shall be updated regularly to include all approved change orders processed the previous month.
Provide technical input to the Configuration Control Boards and The Engineering Working Group.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active Secret security clearance, and ability to obtain a NATO clearance.
System/Network Specialist with over ten years of experience.
Desired Familiarity with the following: Distributed Mission Training Development and Management. Developing Blended LVC Exercise and Training events. Joint/Allied exercise or training development and execution. Familiar with layer 2 and layer 3 networking devices (switches/routers), software engineering principles and programming.
