Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions.
  • Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
  • Provides engineering support for technical implementation of cyber solutions in conjunction with hardware product development, for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, and scientific applications, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

More About the Role:

  • Lead Linux administrator for a large environment currently being developed.
  • Collaborates to architect solutions to integrate Linux systems and services
  • Develops, maintains and administers configuration management tasks for Linux systems (both server and workstation)
  • Works with other Linux and Windows System Engineers to deploy Centrify and Ansible Tower to integrate Linux and Windows systems into a combined network.
  • Uses Ansible Tower to automate system management tasks to maintain compliance.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in a technical field is required or an equivalent subject.
  • A minimum of 7 years' of related job experience is required.
  • Understanding of integration of Linux systems at an enterprise level to include identity and security considerations
  • Strong experience in Linux configuration management concepts and software tools (i. e. Ansible, Centrify, etc.)
  • Strong Communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 6 years of related work experience
  • Requires advanced understanding and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, and technical concepts obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • US Citizenship is required.

  • Strong team player in a dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with MacOS OS X
