Job Description

CACI seeks a talented DevOps Engineer to join our Advanced Solutions Group, within the National Security and Innovative Solutions Sector. We develop software-defined SIGINT/EW solutions which are deployed on our line of Linux computing platforms. Signal acquisition, demodulation, bit synchronization, decoding, and interpretation are performed in software using a variety of programing language to include C/C++, Python, Java. 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a part of a small team of DevOps Engineers and Systems Administrators supporting the development and delivery of IT capabilities in support of mission critical systems supporting the warfighter.  You will possess agility, a broad working knowledge of IT systems, DevOps tools, experience supporting Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments and a desire to learn and implement new technologies with minimal preparation in order to achieve mission objectives.

The first part is a tax-qualified profit-sharing retirement plan, to which CACI annually contributes up to 25% of your base salary (not in excess of applicable IRS limits) to your retirement account. What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Support development and delivery of tactical solutions for an Army Program of Record system fielded to multiple COCOMs as well as QRC solutions for the same customer base
  • Work in a fast-paced dynamic environment as a member of DevSecOps/Infrastructure team that provides network, infrastructure, and admin support for multiple application development teams and projects.
  • This program requires continuous improvement, on-going learning, keeping up with new tools, techniques, technology, and adopting to changing environment. Each team member brings a unique set of skills. Sharing information with other team members and cross-training is required to pick-up new skills.
  • Support and administer continuous integration environment mainly working with Puppet, Ansible, GIT, Jenkins, and other similar tools.
  • Utilize a combination of Docker, Koji, and Gitlab to produce version controlled Red Hat RPMs.
  • Configure and deploy physical and virtual resources for Red Hat and VMware based servers, developing new standardized development virtual machine templates, and migrating and upgrading existing servers.
  • Develop and upgrade tools in the deployment of GOTS hardware supporting unique customer program requirements.
  • Support automated builds and installation of software.
  • Assist in the integration of software into systems and solutions.
  • Set up Linux workstations and servers
  • Monitor hardware for failures, diagnosing and tracking failures, repairing failed equipment
  • Some exposure to cloud environment, such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Admin support, software installation, password, and change management
  • DNS support and updates
  • Interface with internal customers on issues, diagnosing and fixing user related problems
  • Linux scripting (bash, python, perl, etc.)
  • Adhere to security requirements for systems destined for classified environments
  • Support risk assessments and development of risk mitigation countermeasures
  • Physically setup and move workstations, servers and other equipment
  • Develop and update documentation as needed

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience in relevant discipline (e.g. DevOps, Software Development, System Administration, Information Management etc.)
  • Must have hands-on experience with Puppet, Ansible and Linux
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Experience with Configuration, Change, and Release management. Knowledge of tagging, branching, and merging software.
  • Knowledge of SDLC and software build process.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, etc)
  • Experience with software security, secure coding, or software assurance tools and techniques
  • Must be very comfortable operating within a Linux environment
  • Strong writing, planning, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience running continuous integration build life cycles focused on automation (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
  • Experience with security accreditation to include authority to operate
  • Experience with planning, configuring, deploying, and implementing automated software and firmware patching for Linux environments (e.g., YUM)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communicating technical and analytical information in written products
  • There is no clearance requirement to begin employment.  As a requirement of continued employment, you will be required to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in Information Security
  • Demonstrated experience conducting certification and accreditation scans and understanding how to mitigate issues
  • Experience supporting Atlassian Suite products (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket)
  • Strong knowledge of technology and security topics to include network and application security, infrastructure hardening, security baselines, web server, and database security
  • Linux software development experience
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and Xacta software
  • Experience supporting the delivery of software solutions for DoD customers
