Job Description

CACI is looking to hire a senior Technical Architect to join our growing  Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Financial Management Business Transformation (FMBT) Team. The team will be supporting the implementation of Momentum Financials (a COTS product) across the VA for the next 6 years.

Applicants must possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent and 11-15 years of relevant work experience. We are looking for candidates with strong development and problem-solving skills and a desire to enhance those skills in a challenging, high visibility environment. Due to contract requirements, US citizenship is required.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Strong architecture skills - should be able to prove that they have architected complex SaaS programs from the ground up
  • Strong background in monitoring - must have both architected monitoring solutions from the ground up, and have managed/maintained industry standard monitoring tools, as well as reporting against them, in an enterprise environment
  • Strong background in Service Level Reporting, analysis, computation, and troubleshooting - should have experience in both negotiating, determining, and agreeing to what SLAs an organization should follow, as well as managing and maintaining those numbers through the life cycle of the system
  • Strong background in Microsoft Azure: ought to have some certifications, understanding of using ARM templates, and Infrastructure as a Code in deployments
  • Strong background in documentation - writing guides, white papers, descriptions
  • Should have experience in industry standard domain concepts: Active Directory, Group Policy, domain controllers
  • Should have experience in industry standard networking concepts: VNET peering, routers and switches, understanding of the OSI model, and knowing the significance of separation of routes, domains, and environments (ask them to define concepts such as: Prod, pre-prod, UAT, dev/test)

Skills/Experience:

  • Detail-oriented. Good analytical skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team to solve problems.
  • Self-starter. Quick to learn and put new skills to use.
  • Experience with federal financial management and systems and supporting government customers.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines. Flexibility to put in hours needed to meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively across many different audiences and be able to break down a concept to various parties in different ways: sysadmins, managers, directors, and VP.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 11-15 years related experience.
  • Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education. 
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • US citizenship is required.
