CACI is seeking an Operations Datalink Subject Matter Expert to support the AFAMS program at the Warrior Prep Center, Einsiedlerhof Air Station, Kaiserslautern, Germany. You will be responsible for developing and assisting in the generation of Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) mission planning materials and documentation related to European Theater Operations (ETO) Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) efforts.
AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations. In the current resource constrained environment, demand for M&S rises with the continuously evolving need for operational readiness and mission preparedness across the USAF, DoD, and with coalition partners. AFAMS focuses on providing innovative M&S services as the key to meeting this demand.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Integrate joint, multi-tactical datalink interface control considerations in development of scenarios to exercise IAMD concepts, plans, procedures and systems to support LVC and Distributed Mission Operations (DMO).
Provide technical assistance and will plan and organize datalink efforts in support of mission planning, operations and scenario development.
Responsible for effecting planning and management of the joint tactical datalink network and will assist with the development of training objectives, scenarios, and LVC vignettes for the integration of new air defense sensors in the AOR.
Assist with ensuring network configuration, system capabilities and data integrity prior to start of an event and that all participants are granted appropriate permissions as required.
Responsible for accomplishing studies and reports and developing/updating relevant concept of employment (CONEMP) and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) based on the exercise and test findings for inclusion into future experimentation and exercise development.
The Contractor needs to have in-depth knowledge of United States Air Force (USAF) planning cycles/processes.
Be responsible for developing and assisting in planning meetings to develop LVC DMO training and exercise scenarios and associated timelines with Joint partners as needed, as well as assist with event execution across air, land, sea, space, and cyberspace battlefield
Secondary duties may also include but are not limited to: Provide effective planning, programming, and budgeting to execute resource requirements. Provide support to capture trends, user requirements, and other key issues and assist with development of critical documentation to support system resource requirements.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active Secret security clearance.
MA/MS degree with 10 + years of experience. If a candidate has no MA/MS degree an additional 6 year's experience can be substituted for a total of 16 year's experience.
Recent operational experience as a Joint Interface Control Officer, Technician or equivalent.
Experience with air surveillance, command and control, data link operations, and sensor network architecture planning and employment in relation to the Joint Engagement Sequence (JES).
Have familiarity with USAF and Joint policy and doctrine.
Knowledgeable on the selection and employment of surveillance, combat, reporting and data link management systems.
Outstanding organizational and communications skills, and attention to detail.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Bachelors/Graduate degree in a technical field, PMP or Test & Evaluation Certifications.
Experience working with tactical datalinks in an LVC modeling and simulation environment.
Experience with datalink architectures that incorporate fourth and fifth generation fighter communication capabilities.
Experience planning, coordinating and developing test articles and TTPS, as well as Joint test experience.
Knowledge of IAMD operations and experience operating/integrating air defense systems.
