Provide support in documenting operational, mission, system, systems-of-systems, and software architectures using standards such as Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), and Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Create, modify, maintain, and review models in architecture tools including MagicDraw, Rhapsody, and System Architect.
Create and manage system-level requirement modules, attributes, and links utilizing the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements Systems (DOORS) requirements management tool.
Create and manage DOORS views to support Requirement Engineers.
Export DOORS data into other structured formats such as MS Excel and MS Word.
Support the traceability of requirements from system level requirements down to design requirements within DOORS.
Participate in the development of DoDAF architecture views for Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD) current baseline that contributes to the design of future ABMD capability.
Participate in the configuration and change management of ABMD architecture products, provide updates to Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) for the architecture working area, and develop technical briefings for leadership to convey assessment results.
Participate in applying system design processes of defining the architecture, components, modules, interfaces, and data for a system to satisfy specified requirements.
Provide support to integrate the requirements and architecture models in the development of a cohesive combat system definition.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must have and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
Five (5) years professional systems engineering experience with a DoD major platform, weapon, Command and Control (C2), or fire control systems program, with concurrent experience performing system engineering and mission engineering efforts that include developing requirements, top level designs and system architectures for software intensive systems. This includes experience related to the identification, analysis and resolution of complex systems engineering design issues involving platform, weapon, C2, and fire control systems for Navy/Joint warfighting capabilities.
2 years’ experience with systems modeling tools such as IBM Rhapsody or MagicDraw.
Detailed understanding of DoDAF and SysML standards.
