CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Technical Writer to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Develop technical documents based on extensive networking background in system administration or network engineering.
Use provided source documents to review and make recommendations to systems security accreditation and certification requirement packages, including documenting systems architecture and networks’ physical layout in narrative and graphical forms.
Transfer rough draft technical documentation into a standard document format for formal publishing.
Work with Network Engineers and Project Leads to document Concept of Operations, Engineering Plans, and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
Coordinate/assist with annual reviews of published documentation
Review, coordinate and publish USAFCENT special instruction updates semi-annually.
Participate in Technical Review Board (TRB), Technical Director and Configuration Advisory Board (CAB) meetings; and prepare meeting minutes.
Provide standardized written procedures, checklists and logic flow charts for Enterprise processes and common tasks utilized by the NOSC and deployed sites.
Analyze, evaluate, and determine the applicability of Air Force systems accreditation and certification procedures for existing and planned USAFCENT network architecture.
Research network topology via NOSC automated toolset to ascertain connectivity, topology, and status to document processes and logic diagrams for regularly accomplished tasks on the NOSC operations floor as well as processes utilized by support technicians, typically referred to as Knowledge Books.
Develop and manage all phases of documentation projects including initial analysis, information gathering, and design of deliverables and distribution of finished products.
Assist other government and contract personnel with project documentation and web site development as needed.
Assist the training managers with standardization and transcription of training materials.
Maintain a standard set of published network architectural diagrams; establish and coordinate periodic reviews and publishing to keep information accurate for troubleshooting, engineering, and project planning purposes.
Ensure enterprise and site-specific network architecture drawings and diagrams are up to date and accurate.
Establish and maintain a web page providing deployed sites upload/download access for site-specific drawings and diagrams.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
DoD Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance prior to starting)
BS in related field AND 5 or more years’ relevant experience; OR 7 or more years’ relevant experience.
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or CCNA-Sec)
Minimum Professional Certifications
oCCNA (Switching Routing)
