CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Network/Systems Performance Analysis Specialist to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Analyze a wide array of networking metrics and recognize substandard network performance.
Perform analysis for collaboration of network / system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware, software and services using a project-based timeline.
Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on bandwidth and network security incidents.
Make expert decisions and recommendations on how to resolve, improve, or prevent network problems/issues.
Create and manage network intrusion devices specific to the Department of Defense as well as many commercial information assurance tools to include Certification Authority (CA) and a variety of virtual private network (VPNs) both software and hardware .
Develop and update IT systems concept of operations and engineering plans.
Submit daily performance reports and ensure automated performance tools are functioning correctly. Use databases and spreadsheets to manage data for performance analysis. Manage file storage and safeguards data.
Coordinate closely with Modeling and Simulation, Information Assurance, and Networks to prevent overlap or conflicts of efforts.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
DoD Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance prior to starting)
Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ experience; OR 5 or more years’ of relevant experience.
SolarWinds and Unix experience
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or CCNA-Sec)
Minimum Professional Certifications
oCCNA (Switching Routing)
oSolarWinds Certified Professional
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience working in DoD, Air Force, and local base environments
