CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Storage and Virtualization Systems Engineer to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Install, configure, test, deploy and maintain hosted VMware products, Virtual Storage (Access Control and VMFS data stores) and ESXi Servers.
Ensure and maintain enterprise backups are executed by configuring appropriately scheduled back up jobs.
Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on bandwidth and network security incidents.
Create and manage network Managing Tasks, Events and Alarms.
Use advanced technical writing skills to develop and update IT systems concept of operations and engineering plans.
Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise trouble ticketing system. Utilize tool capability to enhance USAFCENT NOSC Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) efforts.
Assist with enterprise database SQL tasks (i.e. DISA STIGs) as determined by the USAFCENT NOSC.
Perform analysis for collaboration of network / system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware and software using a project based timeline.
Coordinate and provide direction to users on the implementation of the PKI at the user level. Validate user certificates associated with Commercial Exchange accounts were properly stored in the GAL. Work with deployed locations to maintain a stock of PKI soft-tokens for use until the full implementation of the Common Access Card (CAC) is successful in the USAFCENT AOR. Coordinate with other USAFCENT components to ensure USAFCENT forces receiving e-mail support from other components are capable of using PKI successfully.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
DoD Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance prior to starting)
Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ relevant IT experience OR 5 or more years’ of relevant IT experience.
Have a strong background in SAN Storage, and IT Support. Actively demonstrated strong analytical, troubleshooting, and Interpersonal skills with a customer focused approach.
Working knowledge of High availability, Clustering, VMotion, and Storage VMotion.
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or CCNA-Sec)
Minimum Professional Certifications
VMware Certified Associate (VCA)
MCSE (Server Infrastructure)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience working in DoD, Air Force, and local base environments
