CACI has an exciting opportunity for Enterprise WAN Transport Operations Technicians to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. This is a shift work position in a work center providing 24x7x365 support.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Troubleshoot and develop solutions with LAN/WAN protocols such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP).
Configure, monitor and trouble-shoot IP/MPLS backbone network.
Assist with the installation and configuration of existing and new WAN transport systems as directed.
Develop standardized testing and cutover plans for new WAN equipment.
Establish testing and remote monitoring procedures to ensure reliable operation of WAN transport in theater.
Collect networking metrics for analysis to determine sub-standard network performance both remotely and locally. Analyze a myriad of networking metrics and recognize sub-par network performance.
Configure and troubleshoot QOS involving policing, shaping, and queuing.
Report system and network documented finds for analysis and trending of bandwidth and network security incidents.
Operate network intrusion devices specific to the Department of Defense as well as many commercial information assurance tools.
Provide first-level technical support to deployed users, escalates complex problems as required.
Act as a consultant and provide feedback to the government to optimize the WAN transport networks.
Identify and evaluate the operational impact of all outages.
Report Communication status to higher headquarters as needed.
Coordinate with external agencies for outage resolution as required by local policy.
Perform notifications when outages occur IAW local policies, notification matrix, and any other SOPs, policy, and instructions.
Prepare and deliver daily communication status report as required.
Publish daily communication status received from all sites.
Publish Communication Task Orders (CTO) and Notice to Airman (NOTAM) as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
DoD Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance prior to starting)
Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ experience; OR 5 or more years’ of relevant experience.
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or CCNA-Sec)
Minimum Professional Certifications
o CCNA o MCP (Server) o ITIL Foundations

Experience working in DoD, Air Force, and local base environments
