Serve as Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Transportation Officer for a major NAVSEA ship acquisition program based In Washington, DC providing FMS transportation and logistics services for the several components of the programs current and future FMS cases..

  • FMS Transportation Policy Analysis
  • Hazardous Material Handling
  • Hazardous Material Movement Training
  • Maintain oversight of NAVSEA FMS transportation efforts, including shipments that require heavy lift vessels for movements.
  • Communicate requirements and direction with internal and external Security Cooperation community on training, policy, and process changes.
  • Develop a NAVSEA FMS Transportation Working Group to better understand programs and policy issues and collaborate with program offices to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner to warrant the successful delivery of materials.
  • Guidance on pre-case planning efforts, transportation plans, cargo bookings, exports, etc.
  • Serve as NAVSEA representative for Navy/DoD Transportation Working Groups
  • Provides direction on obtaining special permits for explosive shipments and Department of Transportation Explosive Approval packages.



You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 7 years experience in transportation logistics
