Job Description

CACI is looking to hire a Configuration Management Specialist, in support of the Shared Early Warning System (SEWS) program.

What You’ll Get to Do: You will assist with Configuration Management processes and the transfer and verification of system, software, and project baselines, perform configuration control, configuration status accounting, configuration verification and audit, and configuration identification. Support Engineering Review Board and CCBs in managing change to affected artifacts. Continually work toward CM process improvement and tactical improvements which result in improved technical data quality and efficiencies resulting in enhanced product/artifact throughput.

More About This Role:

  • Willingness to support implementation of an enterprise level Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool

  • Under minimal direction, at an advanced technical level, performs assessment, preparation and implementation of environments and change control activities for medium size complex tasks.

  • Serve as the remote contact point for delivery and metadata creation of configuration managed Engineering documents and Program required documents and assign their associated CDRL number

  • Update document activity tracker metrics spreadsheet(s) or derive a method to deliver CDRL metrics.

  • Proficiency with SharePoint, document/file management, approval flows and IMS driven document delivery.

  • Assemble pre-trip technical data packages, manage post-trip redlines and verify completeness of incorporations to affected artifacts.

  • Provide level 1 technical support of SharePoint managed contractor files and support Program Office Data Manager

  • Coordinate with various departments to research and update procedures impacting CM, Logistics and other cross disciplinary concerns.

  • Works with customers, cyber and technical stakeholders to resolve problems found in overlapping data stored in multiple product repositories

  • Assists with analyzing changes of product design, using as-delivered and as-maintained bills-of-materials to determine the effect on the end product design and function.

  • Determines and prepares documentation necessary for change to products of varying maturity levels.

  • Assists with developing new documentation control and configuration management business processes to support system rollout and equipment life cycles.

  • Responsible for performing administrative duties in an office environment.

  • Creates spreadsheet extracts, enters and assembles monthly and quarterly presentations, periodic reports, and updates various CM documents using a variety of software as needed.

  • Maintains configuration management databases and conducts product audits.

  • Coordinates with customers to support the process for change reporting of effected items in-work and release of change managed items to the technical and test baseline.

  • Reviews released engineering change data and change history documenting engineering or cyber activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures, plans and policies.

  • Attends and participates in CM and Logistics Working Group meetings and assists in facilitating control and review board meetings to include preparation of materials identified as agenda items, handouts, and input to minutes.

  • Prepares for and participates in program kickoff meetings, team meetings, production meetings, audits and other customer meetings, as required.

  • Performs tasks required to support CACI overall and help the corporation thrive.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Typically, BA/BS or equivalent + 5-7 years’ experience.

  • Must have a strong customer focus.

  • Able to develop and present CM materials to clients and teammates

  • DoD experience desired

  • FMS experience desired

  • Qualified candidates will have demonstrated the following traits:

    • Able to develop and interpret complex analysis of logistics

    • Must be able to detect complex problems and recommend resolutions

    • Detail oriented and organized

    • Able to read and interpret very complex contract specifications and engineering plans and develop effective and accurate plans

    • Able to review the work of others and detect errors or needed modifications

    • Technically Competent

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with the SEWS architecture

  • Preferred skills migration of document and metadata to a PLM tool such as TeamCenter, Windchill or Aras
