Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI has an immediate need for a Systems Administrator to support medical applications. The primary system supported is the Theater Medical Information Program (TMIP). Under limited supervision, this individual will provide support to medical applications, users, and administrators.

More About the Role:

  • Create and manage user accounts for electronic health record systems.
  • Troubleshoot software issues with end user systems.
  • Perform daily server checks.
  • Document issue in a helpdesk system.
  • Load operating systems and software on client machines.
  • Conduct basic software testing.
  • Work with users over the phone to troubleshoot software, hardware, and network problems.
  • Brief military leadership on system problems and courses of action for resolutions.
  • Provide training to other system administrators.
  • Setup and maintain virtual test environments. 
  • Evaluate, test, and package software for deployments.
  • Document software bugs and work with software engineers to develop fixes.
  • Support software deployments.
  • Provide support to end users.
  • Provide software demonstrations and training to customers and partners.
  • Produce documentation and training materials for use by system administrators.
  • Develop tools and scripts to support end user.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting electronic health record systems.
  • 7+ years in deploying and supporting IT systems.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense.
  • Experience with supporting Oracle, Hyper-V, and VMware.
  • Experience with supporting Windows Server environments
  • Experience providing desktop support in Windows 10 environments.
  • Experience with supporting Windows Servers.
  • Experience with troubleshooting networks, hardware, and software.
  • Knowledge of networking and routing/switching.
  • Knowledge of basic computer and server hardware
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Security+ and current Windows Operating Systems certifications within 60 days of hire date.
  • Ability to travel 25%

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
  • Experience working with Oracle, PostgreSQL, VMware, Hyper-V, Mirth, and InterSystems Cache.
  • Experience supporting electronic health record systems.
  • Experience with using Jira, Remedy, Confluence, Pydio, and Microsoft Sharepoint.
  • Experience with deploying and supporting the Theater Medical Information Program (TMIP) suite of systems.
  • Experience with supporting Active Directory including user and Group Policy management.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Batch, Powershell, Python, and AutoIt.
  • Experience with deploying and supporting the Theater Medical Information Program (TMIP) suite of systems.
  • Experience with supporting Active Directory including user and Group Policy management.
  • Experience with administering AHLTA and CHCS.
  • Experience with deployment automation tools such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit is highly preferred.
  • Moderate to advanced experience with code version control tools such as git and Subversion.
  • Well versed in networking and routing/switching, Dell hardware stack experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with SANs and iSCSI networks.
  • Experience with the automation of complex and/or repetitive system and user tasks in Windows and Linux environments.
