CACI's NTCSS program team in Norfolk Va. is seeking a Linux Sr Systems Administrator/ Architect to join the Advance Planning Group (NTCSS APG).
What You'll Get to Do:
In your role as the Linux Sr Systems Administrator/Architect you will apply your combined knowledge of Linux system administration and network transport layer protocols in support of installation planning, design, implementation, and documentation of the NOBLE and NTCSS Family of Systems (FoS). These systems represent the next and current generation support C2 FoS, and you will have a role in their deployment throughout the Fleet. This is a hybrid assignment in which your focus will be on engineering activities related to the establishment of new capabilities rather than just the traditional Linux system administration types of tasks and activities.
You will leverage your demonstrated ability of taking software requirements and transforming them into installation requirements for Linux based enterprise systems. You will be a key interface between development, operations and stakeholders to include installation project engineers and end users. You have a demonstrated in-depth level of knowledge of the US Navy and USMC networks to include an understanding of thePorts and Protocol Management System (PPSM) and its defined boundaries. You know which network transport protocols are relevant and how to use them to elicit network transport requirements for tailored for system installation. You’re intrigued with concepts such as microservices and automated provisioning and how they can be applied to high velocity deployments.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
SECRET clearance - must be current.
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification or higher (ex. CompTIA Security+, CASP, CISSP or related).
BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related Science and Engineering oriented curricula and 7 years + of related experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with RHEL 6/7 Unix/Linux systems design and/or administration.
Demonstrated knowledge of DISA Ports and Protocols Management to include Network Boundaries and development of ACLs.
Knowledge of USN and USMC Afloat and Ashore networks to include, CANES, NMCI, MCEN
Ability to identify and report installation related problems and if required devised temporary “work-arounds.”
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the concepts of Information Assurance to include the Authorization To Operate (ATO) and related process artifacts.
Demonstrated ability to work within a strong and dynamic collaborative environment.
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Experience in post development (installation) practices to include customer acceptance tasks
Knowledge of agile methodologies
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) – significant plus
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) – significant plus
Familiarization with SecDevOps and container technologies
Familiarization of AWS and related technologies
Familiarization of Red Hat OpenShift
Familiarization of Red Hat OpenStack
Experience with NTCSS and/or OOMA – significant plus
Familiarization with the Shore Installation Process (SPAWARINST 4720.1A)
