Job Description

This is a position with primary responsibilities related to providing administrative and logistical support to SRF-JRMC in Yokosuka, Japan.


What You’ll Get to Do:

  • In this role you will be responsible for tracking that incoming personnel are in compliance with regulations to enter Japan amid the COVID-19 pandemic and supporting these personnel logistically when in a restriction of movement (ROM) status.   
  • This position is customer-facing and will include time in an office, to as well as travel to NGIS, Navy Lodge and some off-base lodging. 
  • This position requires working odd hours, and at times, on-call work and irregular days off. May be required to work holidays, weekends and overtime. 
  • This position requires current security clearance, SOFA status and current SOFA driver’s license.  Candidates must live within the local commuting area of the Yokosuka Naval Base.  
  • Track requirements and compliance of incoming personnel traveling from abroad.  
  • Communicate with incoming personnel based in the United States
  • Update spreadsheets and databases.
  • Generate Reports.
  • Format Documents.
  • Drive to locations on and off base. 
  • Work independently without supervision and execute job duties and tasks without direction from the program manager.   
  • Other duties as assigned. 
  • Provide various administrative support tasks as needed in an office environment.  
  • Provide reports using Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.
  • Answer phones.
  • Follow up on actions required by ROM personnel. 
     


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Two to four years of related (military, administrative, and/or logistics) experience. 
  • A customer service orientated work ethic and attitude. 
  • Work may be in the industrial environment office spaces, throughout the CFAY Naval Base facility, and at sites within the local community.
  • Requires driving to and from these various locations. 
  • Willingness and ability to work odd hours, both early in the morning and late at night. 
  • Lifting, bending, and carrying objects up to 30 lbs.   
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Specifically: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint)
  • Current Secret Security Clearance 
  • Must be organized and punctual 
  • Great attitude!
     

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
