Job Description

We are seeking an entry level Software Engineer to join the GTOS development team. We develop and maintain an innovative grid-based signal processing architecture solving hard computational problems in near real time for the mission success of our customers. As a Software Engineer, you will be deeply involved providing configuration, control, status, processing, and analytic solutions for this critical operational system. In cooperation with system engineering, you will elicit use cases and requirements from our customers, as well as support training of fellow team members and government customers. You will join a dynamic team highly adept at solving complex problems with the application of leading-edge technology solutions, empowering decision-makers to make mission-critical decisions.

What You’ll Get to Do:

As a Software Engineer you will:

  • Be a key member of a dynamic small team where your work rapidly contributes to operational products and you will have a strong connection to the impact of your work
  • Participate in field testing and deployment of operational capabilities into 24/7 mission centers
  • Develop an understanding of our processing architecture, system control interfaces, and data products then use that knowledge to build robust solutions providing meaningful real-world results

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum of BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Five or more years relevant operational experience with degree in progress is acceptable

Experience:

  • Minimum of 0 years in Software Development
     

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Python and C++
  • Academic experience with development and build tools such as Git
  • Ability to learn to define, design, and implement robust Python and/or C++ applications
  • Linux Proficiency
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills supporting a mission critical operational environment
  • TS/SCI w/ poly clearance


One or More of These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Operationally relevant experience
