What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is seeking a Cyber Engineer who will support operations and maintenance (O&M) activities for servers hosting cyber tools and applications.  As a Cyber Engineer, you will also lead efforts to identify systems security vulnerabilities and support the deployment and define hardware specifications for high availability cyber tools and systems by utilizing these tools to enhance security compliance baselines and support enterprise-level cybersecurity requirements.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Understanding and identifying new vulnerabilities and attack vectors to actively hunt for threats across multiple networks

  • Deployment, administration support, and maintenance of servers in a large-scale enterprise environment

  • Performing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, and risk assessments for computer security products and systems

  • Collaborating with clients regarding the nature of the systems vulnerabilities and recommending remediation steps

  • Ability to use various COTS and custom platforms to gather security statistic to proactively scan the enterprise for malware

  • Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints

  • Testing and monitoring computer systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems

  • Analyzing and studying complex systems requirements

  • Applying the Concept of Operations (CONOPs) set of disciplines for the planning, analysis, design, construction, and operation of information systems across a major sector of the organization

  • Developing analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions

  • Preparing required documentation, including program-level and user-level documentation

  • Assisting in establishing standards for information security systems procedures

  • Reviewing and analyzing security audits and computer logs to improve endpoint security measures

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently or lead teams to perform technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, risk assessments, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for computer security products and systems

  • Demonstrated experience working with business and technical personnel to deliver a robust, scalable architecture for an IT system that meets the business goals of an IT system

  • Demonstrated experience performing requirements analysis to create non-user requirements based on user requirements and then, creating systems architectures to meet those requirements

  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and assessing impact of proposed scope changes to future architectures

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and 2016 System Admin O&M

  • Reviewing security and Sysmon computer logs for detecting anomalies and advising on mitigation strategies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)


Education & Experience Required:

  • 6 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma

  • 4 Years of job related experience and Associates degree

  • 2-3 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree

  • 1 Year of job related experience and Master’s degree

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and computer network defense topics

  • Experience with the operations and on-going responsibilities of a Security Operations Center (SOC)

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with building and informing programs for enterprise security continuous monitoring and cybersecurity incident response for an IT enterprise

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with collaboration and outreach across the customers’ environment

  • Experience working with cybersecurity tools, conducting security scans, and developing mitigation solutions

  • Experience directing and leading other senior level Cybersecurity Engineers

  • Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and maintaining the Information Technology Infrastructure associated with an IT system hosted in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment

  • Experience with one or more program languages

  • Ability to build and automate scripts (e.g., VBScript, PowerShell, WMI, C#, Java, SQL, Python, C++, and/or XML) efficiently and effectively
