Job Description

CACI is seeking a cleared Cyber Security Information Assurance Technician (Level II) with experience with securing and managing a Linux based server client architecture in Aberdeen, MD.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for sustaining the overall health and security of a Linux based development lab. 

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized technology problems.

  • Involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to Information Assurance requirements.

  • Conducts security assessments and security consulting services. Analyzes information security requirements.

  • Implement applicable patches including IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB), and technical advisories (TA) for the CE operating system(s).

  • Assist in the system security authorization processes.

  • Assist in writing and developing System Security Plans (SSPs), Plan Of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), Risk Assessments, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and supporting documentation for systems subject to NIST SP 800-53.

  • Perform IS security briefings, report all security incidents and investigate, document and report, as well as provide protective and corrective measures in response to such incidents. 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • An active DoD TS/SCI with Poly Clearance

  • An understand/knowledge of Cybersecurity RMF Controls Validation Testing

  • AA/Tech School and least 5 years’ experience in Information Assurance and with Information Assurance Technology (OR) BS and 3 years’ experience in Information Assurance and with Information Assurance Technology Masters and at least 5 years’ experience

  • Basic experience with administrating, securing, and maintaining Linux based systems

  • Qualified at the IAT Level II for the DoD Information Assurance Workforce, must possess one of the following certifications: CISSP SEC+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Familiar with the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and EMASS/Xacta RMF processes

  • Familiar with RedHat Linux Server computing

  • Technical Writing experience (creating/updating IA policy & procedure documentation)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities

  • Must be able to work well on independent engagements as well as within a team setting

  • Some understanding of military hierarchy.

  • REDHAT Certification
