As the Flight Safety Engineer, you will keep both Customer and CACI management abreast of issues, risks and accomplishments. You will be responsible for ensuring that all Contractor personnel work collaboratively and professionally with the Customer and personnel from other contracts. You will apply broad knowledge of systems engineering, orbital mechanics and satellite operations to design and advance solutions to current Flight Safety challenges. As a Lead engineer you will focus on the quality and currency of techniques, procedures, and tools available to Flight Safety analysts to perform their jobs effectively. You will ensure all functions specified in the statement of work are successfully executed. You will participate in team development and O&M processes.
More About the Role:
Responsible for technical engineering guidance to project teams, coordinating across the overall program, during sprint planning, scope, risk and troubleshooting.
Involves analyzing new and complex operational problems and creates innovative solutions involving technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.
Must have demonstrated experience performing a full range of program and project activities, including oral and written communications and formal programmatic documentation.
Must have experience gathering customer requirements and holding technical exchange meetings.
Must have the ability to disseminate and track meeting notes with action items including assignment and due dates.
Have experience providing status reporting on all activities and conduct clear and concise stakeholder briefings
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must have a TS/SCI w/ poly
BA/BS in technical field and/or 12+ years of related experience
Technical experience with NRO Enterprise operations and system integration, dependencies, and data flow
Technical experience with orbital mechanics and/or collision avoidance, satellite analysis
Technical experience with laser and optical engineering and analysis
Technical experience with RF engineering and analysis
Technical experience with satellite operations analysis, program protection, and information management, and/or relevant similar experience
Technical experience with intelligence analysis in support of space or counter space operations
Knowledge of all-source, collections operations, acquisition intelligence, others
Five (5) years of manager experience with programs/projects of similar scope, size, and complexity
Five (5) years of management experience supporting and operating 24/7 operational environments
Seven (7) years of experience with NRO
Associated experience with other IC organizations
Relevant experience in operating associated tools
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Multi Agency experience, USSPACECOM and or USSF
