Job Description: CACI is seeking a Data/Systems Analyst to join our growing team in Chantilly. This person will define and maintain database structures, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation. Provides experienced technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment. Advises applications development staff and users on database solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and the operation and tuning of databases. Ensures economic and efficient availability of data within adequate safeguards. Develops expertise in use of automated tools for database design and implementation. Ensures that documentation is complete and up-to-date. Participates as a leader and as a team member. The position requires 3-5 years of data analysis experience preferably in Big Data environment. Experience with ETL development will be a particular advantage as the role is not strictly defined and cross-functional expertise is welcomed. Duties and Responsibilities: -Customer focused, including assisting the customer in understanding the solution alternatives -Actively participate in defining technical standards and guidelines -Translate strategic requirements into a usable enterprise information architecture -Ensure data/information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise -Ensure focus is on information/data quality by developing/publishing enterprise data standards -Working with team members across different spectrum. -Capability to lead discussions and meetings. Minimum Required Skills: -Background in Business Intelligence methods, approaches and concepts -2+ years of experience in architecting Business Intelligence solutions and Data Modeling (DM) including conceptual, logical, and physical data models -3+ years of experience in DM tools such as Erwin and Operational Data Store (ODS) -Familiarity with DM standards including naming conventions -Knowledge of development approaches and architecture concepts like ODS, master data management, slowly changing dimensions, and data governance -Experience in modeling for data warehouse projects and solutions -Experience working with large databases -Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies, agile methodology in particular Desired Skills: -Industry knowledge and experience, including current industry trends and challenges -Interest in implementing new technologies and methodologies -Knowledge of the Health Care industry -Knowledge of IT practices and lifecycle (i.e., agile, spiral, waterfall model) -Experience with Hadoop/Hive -Experience with Java development -Experience with ETL development tools including but not limited to Pentaho/SPARK Education and Experience: -BA/BS Degree and 5 to 7 years of experience -Demonstrated proficiency in performing assigned tasks.
