Job Description

CACI is seeking a talented, technical savvy Senior Analyst with great customer relationship building skills. The candidate will be responsible for partnering with our DOJ client and become a subject matter expert on the applications used by the attorneys throughout the federal justice system. The analyst will help define and manage incremental improvements to make existing applications more user friendly and intuitive. As such, the ideal candidate will be comfortable synthesizing complex business requirements into layman‘s terms and visualizing systems transformation efforts. The analyst will shepherd each release from inception through delivery, playing a key role in drafting and preparing lifecycle deliverables for client review. This position is located on the client with Department of Justice by the Verizon Center in downtown Washington, D.C.   Duties and Responsibilities: - Identify, synthesize and document functional requirements, field level attributes and user stories/scenarios - Find ways to simplify and remove complexity from existing systems while adhering to the customer requirements - Work with the customer to translate business needs into specific, measurable requirements for developers - Team with developers and be the voice of the customer throughout the development process - Conduct functional test planning and execution. - Have a fundamental background working in an SDLC with formal deliverables - Knowledge of best practices in software development methodologies such as SCRUM or Waterfall EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.   Required Qualifications: - Minimum of 10 years of business systems analysis experience - Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience - High level of comfort with complex features and functions in software solutions - Strong problem solving skills - Ability to work independently with minimal direction - Demonstrated experience coordinating cross functional team members to resolve open items - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple projects at one time - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Candidate must also be able to favorably complete a DOJ Background Investigation; therefore, US Citizenship is required.   Desired Qualifications: - Experience working on site for government clients - Experience preparing for and conducting client facing discussions - Experience identifying testing strategies and executing test case scenarios - Experience with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence - Exposure to testing or reviewing data output to ensure consistency of data and alignment with requirements - Familiarity with key tenants of databases and willingness to learn basic query skills - Experience interacting with senior government officials PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
