Job Description

This is an new Business Development opportunity in San Antonio TX in support of the  Aerospace Solutions Group (ASG) which anticipates substantial additional personnel requirements across a number of labor categories and levels beginning in early calendar year 2017, contingent on receiving awards for both the BAT (Bomber Armament Tester) and the ATSSI (Automatic Test System Sustainment Initiative).   RESPONSIBILTIES:   - Inspect product, including assemblies, purchased parts and fabricated items against established standards, including engineering drawings, manufacturer‘s data and other technical sources  - Ensure conformance to all documented processes during the assembly process, including during in-process and final inspections  - Accurately log all defects and product non-conformances  - Support QA audits as required  - Recommend process enhancements to improve product quality and reduce inspection time  - Provide guidance for less experience QC personnel REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: - Prior experience with an organization performing electronic and mechanical assembly  - Familiarity with common inspection methods  - Experience with required tools, including microscopes, force gauges, meters, calipers, etc - Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings DESIRED EXPERIENCE:   - Prior Development and/or quality assurance of automatic test equipment (ATE) and test program sets (TPS) for aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics and engine systems  - Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: HS or Equivalent/AS   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required. ATSHP
