Job Description

This is an new Business Development opportunity in San Antonio TX in support of the  Aerospace Solutions Group (ASG) which anticipates substantial additional personnel requirements across a number of labor categories and levels beginning in early calendar year 2017, contingent on receiving awards for the BAT (Bomber Armament Tester).     Must be capable of planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the contract. Must have a thorough understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of the software in military systems.   Must have knowledge and experience with the  United States Air Force plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of software and computer resources for weapon systems/platforms.     Must be capable of managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort. Must be capable of providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures. Must be capable of tracking the program progress, documenting it in the status reports and providing recommendations for resolution.  The PM must ensure all efforts on this contract are managed as one integrated, common, standard, seamless, systems engineering and logistics programmatic effort. The Program Manager must at all times be a role model to subordinate employees, be a workforce motivator, and be a provider of constructive criticism. The PM must have knowledge of support the Government acquisition reviews, milestones, and associated documentation required by DoDI 5000.02. Relevant industry certification(s) in logistics, program management or information technology is highly desired OR recognized industry equivalent professional certification.         Bachelor‘s Degree. Advanced degree is desirable Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or other Engineering discipline   Required Experience: - 15+ years - 8 years of additional relevant experience can be substituted for education - Prior successful execution of large DoD development project - PMP Certification - BS/MS in Engineering or Sciences or MBA Desired Experience: - Development of automated test systems for aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics and engine systems - Prior management of EVM projects - Familiarity with engineering data standards, both engineering drawings and technical procedure documents - Strong background with MS-Project - Prior hardware and/or software design experience - Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 and CMMI quality process standards EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent, and 12 to 15 years of related experience, including three to five years of supervisory/management experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.   ATSHP
