DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   Join CACI as .NET Software Developer Lead supporting financial management applications that help our Department of Defense customers plan and budget resources to support our country.  We have been supporting our customers for almost 20 years with 5 applications across 6 different clients.  We continue to develop and implement exciting and complex solutions to support the evolving needs of our customers.   We are looking for a motivated, highly organized senior/lead .NET developer to manage a team of 2-3 mid-senior .NET and SQL developers. Primary responsibilities will include providing technical guidance on the design of a complex object-oriented DoD budget application using the most up-to-date technologies to provide the best user experience and improved maintainability.   Secondarily, you will also serve as the Air Force Technical Partner, working closely with the Customer Relationship Manager at the Pentagon during the budget cycles for approximately 8-12 weeks of the year (the application is used 4-6 weeks twice a year). In this role, you will manage all technical aspects of the customer‘s environment, including migration of releases to the pentagon environments, coordinating with the Air Forces‘ IT group on network and server issues and upgrades, and coordinating with the team to ensure all production issues/requests are resolved according to customer deadlines.   This role requires one with strong technical, management, and leadership skills.  One must be able to work collaboratively with the customers and project team to ensure delivery of the best solutions while strategically positioning the application to be more efficient and maintainable for existing customers and easily implementable for future customers to continue our team‘s growth. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the customers‘ mission, our team, and ultimately CACI.     As an outstanding .NET Software Developer Lead you will:   Lead, direct and grow the software architecture team in the design of elegant solutions   Make design and architectural decisions which define solutions to realize our products' visions   Prototype, prove, and build solutions using Open Source and JavaScript frameworks, and .NET platforms   Mentor team members in best practices around architecture practices and patterns   Research and recommend technologies that improve current systems and provide vision for future technology architecture and infrastructure   Work with Client Team, Task Lead and Business Systems Analyst Team to ensure functional designs are technically feasible and include all information needed by developers to perform the work.   Prepare technical designs/prototypes when needed   Work within an Agile Scrum Environment   Collaborate with the Software Developer Lead to identify impacts of the architecture changes on the rest of the application and solutions to those impacts   Communicate status of work items to the Project Task Lead, identify impacts on the release plan, and suggest resolutions for any issues/impacts   Identify and communicate project risks and mitigation strategies to the project team leads and Project Manager weekly, at a minimum   Coordinate with the Air Force Customer Relationship Manager on all Air Force technical issues and tasks, including: -- Perform on-site support 4-5 days per week during the budget cycles for approximately 4-6 weeks twice a year, - Perform application releases in the customer Test and Production environments - Collaborate with Air Force IT group on all network and server related issues to reach a final resolution - Establish trusted relationships with customer management and users by assisting with user support and ensuring the resolution of all technical issues according to customer deadlines   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) and seven to nine years of experience in Software Development.   DoD Secret clearance must be obtainable.   Team player who takes initiative and places a primary focus on the success of the team and customers.   Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities.   Experience mentoring and guiding less experienced software developers.   Experience interacting with customers/users.   Must have experience working in mission critical, fast-paced environments.   Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision.   Demonstrable experience designing and developing solution architectures.   Experienced in problem solving, and able to follow a methodical implementation process.   Experience with Agile development methodologies.   Experience with Team Foundation Server and build management.   Expert-level experience with .NET 4.0 (or higher) Framework and MVC and expert-level competency in C# or VB.NET.   Expert-level experience with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JQuery, Bootstrap, RESTful web services, XML, Json, Angular.   Expert-level experience with ORMs; Entity Framework is a plus.   Expert-level experience with Windows Server 2008 R2 and IIS 7.5 configuration/administration.   Expert-level experience with SQL Server (DB Design, Query Optimization, Indexing), specifically SQL Server 2008 or 2012 and the appropriate and effective use of database objects.   Must understand how to write optimized code.   Must understand best practices in C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, and T-SQL.     DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   Experience managing a team of software developers.   Extensive experience communicating and working closely with customers/users.   Experience performing database administration duties.   Experience with designing and developing applications in accordance with 508 Compliance requirements.   Experience with .NET 5.0 Framework.   Experience with Aspose.Total publishing components.   CACI is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Females / Minorities / Individuals with Disabilities / Protected Veterans.
