Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: As an experienced member of a project team, assists in the design, analysis, training, and implementation of Project Management systems a t Ship Repair Facility (SRF) Yokosuka.   RESPONSIBILTIES: Assists in the design, analysis, training, and implementation of Project Management systems a t Ship Repair Facility (SRF) Yokosuka.   Interviews personnel from functional communities and facilitates working groups to document current business practices, weaknesses, and objectives. Develops strategies and applies industry best practices. Developing an expertise in a particular field of study or industry and strengthening project management skills. Assists business development team with writing proposals. Required Qualifications: -- Typically requires five to seven years related experience; bachelor's degree or equivalent is desired. -- Must have strong Naval Shipyard Project Management Fundamentals (PMF) experience -- Must possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite products -- Must have significant experience in leadership positions -- Must be able to provide one-on-one coaching to project team members -- Must be able to deliver training to small and large groups of people -- Must have detailed understanding of the US Navy and Ship Maintenance -- Must have experience working Continuous Process Improvement initiatives -- Must have an active Confidential security clearance Desired Qualifications: --  Lean Green Belt or Black Belt certification PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Meets normal demands associated with an office environment and possesses phy sical ability required of related training or education program and environment. Some lifting, moving, and setting up of classroom materials and furnishings may be required.  Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Travel up to 50% may be required.
