Job Description

CACI has an opportunity for an Oracle EBS Chief Engineer who will lead the day-to-day system engineering support activities for an Oracle E-Business Suite R12 implementation, supporting the Marine Air Ground Task Force and Supporting Establishment.  The system provides with distributed logistics capabilities to plan, manage, execute, and monitor logistics business processes for over 22,000 enterprise users from over 75 worldwide locations in both garrison and deployed environments.  The system includes a customized CAC-enabled authentication architecture with role based authorizations, a reporting capability handled by the Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer; an Advanced Planning Suite (APS); a mobile field service (MFS) application; and customized workflows in support of 20+ external partners via 40+ interfaces utilizing the Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) tools with Business to Business (B2B) functionality.   CACI is seeking a Chief Engineer with over ten years of experience architecting, implementing Oracle EBS Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions, with a focus on federal customers.  The Chief Engineer will have over five years of experience in a significant leadership role with demonstrated experience overseeing large teams of IT professionals.  The Chief Engineer will define and drive the program‘s technical strategy, and oversee a large team of developers and engineers through system enhancements, operations and maintenance.  Additionally, the Chief Engineer will play a critical role at defining and leading the implementation of innovations, that optimizes and enhances overall system performance in a cost-effective manner.     -Reporting to a CACI Program Manager, the Chief Engineer will be responsible for the formulation and delivery of the program‘s technical strategy, and the management of supporting developers and architects. -Key program leader that supports program manager in the design, implementation and monitoring of engineering, development and operational functions, organizations and processes.  Provides senior level leadership for improving and enhancing ITSM processes, following ITIL v3 best practices and ISO-20000 guidelines. -Supports personnel management and staffing processes for engineering functions. -Provides system engineering support through across all areas of the system development lifecycle.  Oversees software engineering, software development, interface management and data management, and configuration management processes. -Maintains the solution architecture providing updates to the system diagrams and architectural drawings to reflect any changes to the baseline architecture. -Assesses Oracle E-Business Suite R12‘s performance and provides recommendations to enhance the quality of service. -Proactively maintains an awareness of Oracle EBS industry trends and developments, and identifies innovations that can be implemented on the program. -Twelve years (ten with MS) of experience architecting and operating Oracle EBS based solutions, including R12 environment using SCM modules.  Must also include experience supporting a network operation center and over five years of experience managing technical staff. -Experience with Oracle EBS R12, Oracle Exedata, Oracle BPEL, Oracle Mobile Field Service (MFS), Oracle Identity Management (OIM) and Internet Directory (OID), OBIEE, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Redhat Linux and NetApps storage -Experience working in a complex environment, and an ability to manage consistent hardware and software baselines across all environments. -Strong oral and written communications.  Ability to prepare and lead program level briefings with senior customers and team members to include operational reporting. -Expert understanding of ITSM using ITIL v3 -Understanding of federal IT security standards and processes. -BS or higher in engineering or computer science -Position requires the ability to obtain/maintain a government public trust, an adjudicated personnel security investigation (PSI) through a T-1 or a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries. -Experience defining system monitoring and event management solutions.  -Skilled at defining, implementing and evaluating SLA‘s and operational metrics. -Experience dealing with external DoD service providers. -Experience with iterative development techniques in an ERP environment (Scrub) and agile management techniques and tools.  -Understanding of DevOps concepts, and utilization of automation toolsets, including testing, deployment and configuration management. -ITILv3 and IAT Level II certifications, desired.
