We believe in our customer‘s mission, but we also believe in our employees and their career at CACI.   CACI NSS, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Telecommunications Specialist   to provide cutting edge services within the Intelligence Community.   The candidate is responsible, under direction, for operating the client‘s telecommunications systems and for maintaining message flow, researches and analyzes telecommunications activity associated within one or more technical areas in the telecommunications center, analyzes traffic reports and diagnostic reports to determine network logic and malfunction trends, and recommends improvements to enhance network performance trends.    This individual will operate Enterprise Message System (EMS) communications systems on a 12 hour shift work schedule.    The work location for this contract is government-furnished space.  All work will be performed at both on-site and off-site facilities in the greater Washington metropolitan area.  The candidate must have the appropriate skills and experience to operate and monitor message processing systems.  The ability to follow the program's configuration management, Project Management Framework, and quality assurance processes.     This includes coordination processes, effective communication, adapting as a team player in the program, and keeping all program documents up-to-date.  Candidates shall provide critical services in support of the management, monitoring, and operation of 24-hour support environment, including holidays and weekends.  The position requires working on 12-hour rotating shifts, alternating working either night or day shifts for a two week period (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, and then switch to the opposite shift and repeat).   Reference: EIT3HP   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree and 10 to 12 years of related experience.   Position requires the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret / SCI with Polygraph US government security clearance.     Desired Preferred skills: The ideal candidate will be a former client communications officer, preferably with advanced level message system experience with the client's legacy systems. However, a solid background and understanding of IT systems can be built upon.   - Experience with message processing systems - Preferred, but not mandatory, experience with USG message formats: o ACP127 o ACP127S o ACP127M (JANAP128) o DOI o DOI Special o SOCOMM Data Format o INTRA-Office Data Format (IDF) o SOCOMM Narrative Format o SOCOMM Narrative Special Format - Knowledge of Routing Indicators - A good understanding of world geography - An interest in current events - Excellent interpersonal skills - The ability to work closely with other communications professionals and the customer community - Enterprise Messaging Services (EMS) - Microsoft Office Suite - Lotus Notes databases and e-mail
