Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:  Experience Required: Graduate of an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering. Support development and delivery of high visibility, high performing, scalable solutions addressing mission-critical needs. Candidate will design, develop, implement, and provide maintenance of an enterprise level, multi-user, big data aggregation, analysis, and reporting systems using a variety of Cloud / AWS components. Design, develop, and provide implementation of compelling data visualizations, dashboards, tools, and utilities using Open Source tools and technologies. Integrate cloud computing tools into traditional enterprise architectures. Research, evaluate, and deploy new tools, frameworks and patterns to create new cloud solutions for business problems. Define and develop APIs for integration with various data sources in the enterprise. Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation. RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrated skills with more than one of the following: Java/J2EE, Ruby, JavaScript, C++, HTML, CSS, Spring, MyBatis, jQuery, D3, SQL, Python, Bash/Perl, R, Octave, MySQL, Scala, Hadoop, Apache, Accumulo, HDFS, Spark, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Presto, Vertica, Kylin, Impala, Shark, Drill, Druid, Trafodion, Greenplum, Lucene, Solr, ElasticSearch, Solr, NoSQL, Hbase, Cassandra, Mongo, Flume, Sqoop, Cloudera Impala, Zookeeper, Oozie, Hue, Kafka. Experience with big data/advanced analytics concepts and algorithms (e.g. text mining, social listening, recommender systems, predictive modeling, etc.). Understanding of Operating Systems (Unix/Linux), Networks and System Administration experience. Experience with Agile Methodologies. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor‘s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and 8+ years‘ experience Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face.   Some travel may be required.US Citizen and with TS SCI clearance.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree and seven to nine years of related experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
