RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be a key member of a large software development program, comprised of multiple teams working together to modernize and enhance existing applications and develop new mission and business solutions. You will participate in all aspects of security engineering from design and planning through formal authorization and acceptance testing. You will work with product owners, architects, testers, and government Information Assurance staff to design and deliver software solutions that are secure and conform with local and DOD security standards. Specific responsibilities include: - Design, develop, and deploy cloud based cyber security systems, applications, and solutions in classified government cloud environments following DODI 8510 Risk Management Framework requirements. - Provide subject matter expertise throughout the system development lifecycle to ensure security is built-in and tested throughout cloud design, development, and test activities. - Support cloud certification activities, system hardening, and vulnerability testing and scanning; create cyber security architectural artifacts, provide architectural analysis of cyber security features and relate the existing system to future customer requirements. - Provide guidance on embedding advanced forensic tools, provide engineering recommendations, and resolve integration and testing issues. - Produce required documentation and other artifacts as needed EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor‘s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline and at least 6 years of software development experience. At least 8 years of experience is required for Associate degree holders, while only 4 years of experience is required for Master degree recipients. Individuals without a degree require at least 10 years of relevant experience. Required: - Hands-on experience providing security engineering on cloud-based platforms such as AWS - Hands-on experience with secure development best practices including OWASP and static code analyzers such as HP Fortify. - Experience designing, developing, and deploying applications into secure government cloud or hybrid environments - Experience with IC/DOD security accreditation activities - DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certified (Security +) - Excellent interpersonal skills to operate effectively as part of a team (team sizes range from 3-20 persons) - Excellent oral and written communication skills Desired: - Hands-on experience with DODI 8510 Risk Management Framework PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment.
