Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE) is a developmental effort to synchronize command center mobile and fixed-site applications, such as data in vehicles or information consolidated in a forward operating base. The CPCE will enable the Army to develop and field applications through a web-based technology for use by tactical and operational commanders. POSITION SUMMARY: Under minimal direction, performs as a fully experienced Software Developer in design, development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or providing complex enhancements to existing software. Works with technical staff to understand and to develop resolution of software problems. Participates in the development of software user manuals. Assists in the training of less experienced software development staff and may act as a team leader on less complex projects. RESPONSIBILTIES: These positions will implement the Android framework. The framework consists of a core side, the api side, and the Worldwind Android map. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Active Secret clearance Hands on experience with Java, Android sdk, Gradle and/or Maven, related Android open source technologies and mapping engines such as World Wind. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. One position will require proficiency in Calculus and Linear Algebra. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree and five to seven years of related experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
