Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:  CACI is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support the sustainment and to support defining the architecture for an upgrade of the Air Force Satellite Control Network communication systems that link satellite operations centers with world wide remote satellite tracking stations.  Duties and Responsibilities:  Candidate will, under general supervision, valuates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, performs problem isolation and resolution. Monitors, tunes, sets standards and maintain a range of computer network components and systems. Provides client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the network facilities. Works with other network professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes. Requirements: - Typically requires a BS or equivalent + 2-4 years' experience - 2 years experience with: - OSPF Experience - OSPF network design and tuning - Experience with Policy maps, class maps, and Access list configurations - Proven track record of: - Quality of Service configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting - Cisco routers and Cisco catalyst switches in a standalone and stacked environment - At least 1 year of experience with at least 3 of the following: - Multicasting - Class-1 IP encryptors - DISA circuit familiarization - Load balancers - Communications mux/demux - HBSS - LogRythm, Splunk, Snort, Bro Desired Qualifications: - IPv4/IPv6 experience - Subnetting - Zone based firewalls - Load balancer - Experience supporting proposal efforts - Technically competent - Solid decision making and critical thinking - Self-motivated - Attention to detail - Ability to work independently - Desire to learn - Effective, professional interpersonal skills - Pride in work - Strong team player - Hardworking PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
