Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the performance of a 70+ person large, complex IT business application program. Responsible for, but not limited to, project execution, managing team which consists of direct labor and subcontracts, understanding and enforcing contract requirements, maintaining partner relationships, understanding and enforcing subcontract requirements, forecasting, approving invoices, establishing relationship with customer, and acquiring follow-on business. Responsible for the employment, training, coaching, mentoring, motivation, discipline and performance evaluation of assigned employees. Responsible for facilitating innovation sessions to enable customer to €œlean forward€. RESPONSIBILITIES: Defines, launches, and drives strategic initiatives in IT ERP programs. Manages all proposed requirements to include change management, documentation, communication plans, training, testing, etc. Responsible for acquiring follow-on business and participating in corporate proposals Responsible for complex program management tasks and development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting. Provides thought leadership to project analyses and process improvement activities. Responsible for driving recommendations through to implementation. Communicates effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences. Identifies, analyzes and defines project/program requirements and scope. Delegates authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, as needed to manage complex program Defines, acquires, and allocates staff, and other resources necessary to accomplish the goals and/or objectives of the program   Interviews, selects and trains staff to provide quality results for the organization as needed. Develops performance plans and evaluations of employees, including subordinate supervisors as well as reviews evaluations to assure equity of individual employee performance objectives, standards and ratings among lower level staff/groups. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - Active Top Secret Clearance - Strong background in systems analysis, requirements development, and/or systems integration or support projects, leading large teams. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent (CS degree is desired, Business degree acceptable) and 10-12 years of experience with ERP/financial system operations, including at least three years recently managing a large IT team (greater than 35) - Master's Degree preferred - PMP desired, but not required - DOJ TS required - Experience researching ERP production issues, identifying and deploying solutions, and communicating directly with client stakeholders - General knowledge of system networking principles - A high degree of comfort with relational databases and SQL in Oracle 11g PL/SQL - Experience with AIX/UNIX operating systems - Ability to work both independently and with a team to solve problems - Initiative to quickly learn and put new skills to use - Strong written and oral communications skills - Leadership Skills - manage a small (5 person) technical team   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required
