Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Duties and Responsibilities: Manage planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of meetings, conferences, and events. Collect read-ahead material, schedule time/place/attendees, prepare event materials, facilitate event and VTC/ teleconferencing capabilities for the event. Coordinate production of post-event deliverables (minutes, summaries, slide briefs, etc.) and distribute for coordination. He/she must be technical, a process problem-solver and savvy in interacting with personnel. Break bureaucratic logjams and impediments to success. Coordinate, collaborate with various gov't agencies and action officers to advance success of customer office. Will interact with various levels of leadership to coordinate meetings and events.   Required Qualifications: Strong working knowledge of OSD, Pentagon culture, Services and Components. Have good communication and problem-solving skills. Must be self-starter who can plan, assess, act and achieve.   Active TS/SCI required.   Desired Qualifications: Work experience in OSD preferred. Work in major staff or gov't agency preferred. Knowledge of VTC and secure teleconferencing desired.   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related (project support or management) experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
