Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: CACI is in search of a Linux System Administrator for a newly awarded contract.  The successful candidate will possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.   RESPONSIBILTIES: Linux Systems Administrator - responsible for the building, deploying and maintaining Linux RedHat 6 and 7 physical and virtual servers.  Duties include providing tier 3 support and administration on multiple networks.  Work includes interaction with IT and Development teams to build, deploy, integrate and support multiple custom applications.  Perform upgrades, enhancements and patch and remediation, as well as complying with STIG requirements.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - Hands on experience with RedHat Enterprise 6 administration - Experience building and maintaining physical and virtual servers - Experience deploying patches - Fundamental understanding of server related networking - Experience with Apache server - 8570 certification - Interim Secret clearance to start  Desired skills: - RHEL 7 - Scripting - Active Directory - Web services - DNS - RedHat certification - STIG compliance  13 years of professional experience without a degree; or 5 years of professional experience with a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree; or no experience required with a related PhD or JD. Consideration should always be given for the level of specific domain expertise.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
