Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: CACI is currently seeking a Project Manager to perform manage software development in support of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM). Successful candidates should expect the work to be in the Gaithersburg, MD area with occasional meetings in Arlington, VA.   The candidate will be responsible for managing a cross-functional development team to support major software releases for a large enterprise system comprised of multiple application components.   RESPONSIBILTIES:   €¢           Serves as the project manager for a large, complex task order (or a group of task orders affecting the same common/standard/migration system) €¢           Assists the Program Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), the task order-level Task Managers (TM), Government management personnel and customer agency representatives. €¢           Under the guidance of the Program Manager, responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and insuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. €¢           Performs enterprise wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional systems, including the development of conceptual systems requirements; systems integration requirements; systems phasing plan; business application consultation; problem tracking/management; and preparation and delivery of presentations.   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five to fifteen years of related experience, including three to five years of supervisory/management experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
