POSITION SUMMARY: CACI is seeking a Java Developer located in Northern Virginia who under minimal direction performs as a fully experienced Software Developer in design, development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or providing complex enhancements to existing software. Will work as part of a dynamic team using agile development methodology supporting mission critical systems that are being expanded and integrated. CACI's Healthcare Solutions Group serves the U.S. by accelerating the transformation of Federal healthcare through the application of new strategies, technology and processes.  Our solutions offer high benefit, low risk implementation and support for critical missions, including benefits and payer services, healthcare delivery systems, public health and medical logistics. We provide transformational functional subject matter expertise and health IT services to multiple civilian and defense healthcare agencies. Our healthcare benefits and payer services comprise software development, systems integration, information sharing, analytics and information assurance, as well as knowledge management and business process re-engineering. By focusing on patients, providers and payers, we ensure that systems and processes in healthcare agencies are optimally productive and efficient.   RESPONSIBILTIES: - Expert level proven hands-on object oriented programming experience in Java; proficient JavaScript and SQL knowledge. - Displays strong understanding of client side technologies like JavaScript, JQuery, and AJAX. - Proven application development experience and solid understanding of good software engineering design principles. - Works as part of a fast-paced team to perform object-oriented application development using the entellitrak tool as the foundation. - Analyses functional requirements and troubleshoot application code issues. - Develops code necessary to complete the assigned project(s) in the specified time frame according to published standards and guidelines. - Writes, modifies, and debugs software for client applications. - Supports completed software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle and in production. - Ensures appropriate documentation is created and maintained for projects and operational procedures. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor's degree and ten to twelve years of related experience. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Solid knowledge of Java (Object Oriented Programming concepts). - Experience with Java, Java Applets, JavaScript, SQL, Web Programming Skills, Web User Interface Design, Software Requirements, Software Development Process, Multimedia Content Development, Software Debugging, GUI experience. - Understanding of modern client-side web application technologies, including JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, CSS and HTML. - Familiarity with XML and XML related technologies, including XML schemas and XSLT's - Relational Database (SQL Server, Oracle) experience and functional understanding of database structure. - Understanding of J2EE Architecture (JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, etc.) and deployment procedures. - Work in a highly collaborative, agile team environment, review business requirements and develop solutions meeting and improving on the business needs. - Experience with Agile development methodologies, especially SCRUM. - Strong prioritization, communication, and documentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Desired Qualifications: ·         Exposure to healthcare applications. ·         Knowledge of any JavaScript frameworks. ·         Experience with Oracle RAC and Oracle Enterprise Manager Experience with other Oracle technologies such as Oracle DataGuard and ASM a plus. ·         Experience with Oracle WebLogic and Oracle Access Manager a plus. Knowledge of 508 development principles. ·         Excellent troubleshooting skills. ·         Ability to learn new or existing systems quickly and drive to solution. ·         Communicate technical and non-technical information clearly, answer technical questions from customers, and be able provide efficient technical solutions to problems. ·     Prior experience with workflow or data transaction solutions preferred.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
