Project Description: Custom applications support for a classified client. Providing services and support for customer’s applications, enhancements, and operations and maintenance while utilizing latest cloud based technologies with-in the Agile framework.

  • Also if any interest in growing one’s career; we have management roles available on the team or it’s possible to progress into roles with direct reports/management (the current PM started his CACI career as a software developer).

  • Available training budget; everyone on the team has been offered Certified Scrum Master training or a week’s training for a technology needed on project

What You’ll Get to Do:

Team is seeking a highly skilled and energetic Cloud Administrator with proven experience in supporting enterprise web applications and software development teams with DevOps solutions.  A successful candidate will need to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Linux/Unix and a understanding of cloud technologies. Looking for a candidate with on the job experience upgrading, monitoring, troubleshooting and implementing both on premise and cloud technologies.

More About the Role:

Required Technical Skills & Experience

  • Support and troubleshoot web applications. This includes deployment of Tomcat applications using AWS and utilizing application and server logs to identify and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated experience and support for applications hosted in an AWS cloud environment, including deployments, patches, security checks, and maintenance. 
  • Upgrade and maintain operating systems and application software on LINUX (Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Scientific Linux) and Microsoft Windows (2008 R2, 2012 R2) platforms.
  • Perform software installations, including support for COTS applications.
  • Daily monitoring of the network, servers, cloud and applications to ensure full availability and optimum performance. Utilize software tools and logs to monitor network and system health.
  • Track and manage system certificates, privileged accounts, and database passwords.
  • Create and update documentation, including standard operating procedures, administrative instructions, After Action Reports for system outages, task status updates, and customer reports.
  • Support for system and data security requirements, and documented system artifacts required for security certification.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining encryption technology (PKI authentication, Vormetric, and KMS).
  • Demonstrated experience with web services.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management.
  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of related work
  • Requires an active TS SCI with Polygraph clearance

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with building AWS infrastructure or migrating private on-premise solutions to cloud hosting environments.
  • Firm Relational Database understanding (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, Kafka) 
  • Working knowledge of CloudFormation and Lambda.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Shell, Perl, and Python).
  • Experience with SysOPs/DevOps.
  • Ability to perform cloud performance analysis and optimize distributed cloud systems.
