What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is seeking an outstanding technical resource to leverage broad-based and deep technical Amazon Web Services (AWS) knowledge to boost cloud adoption.  As a Cloud Support Architect, you will be a part of a small team of talented individuals in the Sponsor’s Program Management Office (PMO) for a cloud computing services program within the Business Operations group, specifically working with the support team and providing matrixed support to other internal groups, as needed.  You will also, conduct customer engagements at various levels with the ability to understand architectures and recommend appropriate technical solutions.  In addition, this position requires you to remain cognizant of trends in cloud computing and work to remove barriers to cloud adoption.

  Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Designing and developing solutions to complex applications problems
  • Analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or enhance existing systems, and reviewing computer systems capabilities and workflows
  • Incorporating engineering strategies for introducing new technology into the Sponsor’s infrastructure
  • Developing future technology and architectural advancements to support architectural strategy, technology migration and integration, and evolution
  • Applying knowledge of enterprise IT needs to design improved processes and generate valid requirements
  • Acting as an advisor and proposing changes based on analysis of requirements and new technology
  • Working with appropriate parties to resolve discrepancies between proposed IT systems and enterprise quality standards
  • Performing technical planning, verification and validation, and costing analysis for systems moving to the cloud
  • Identifying and determining process and procedural solutions to customer problems
  • Educating users in technical concepts regarding cloud services and features
  • Participating as a member of a team to assess and recommend a migration strategy to new technologies
  • Communicating project information through presentations, technical reports, or white papers
  • Creating systems architectures based on customer requirements and providing advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes
  • Working with other engineers, programmers, technicians and managers in the design, testing, and evaluation of systems, and understanding specific systems requirements
  • Providing frequent contact with the customer, traceability within program documents, and the overall computing environment and architecture
  • Providing technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of cloud systems, or to resolve cloud related issues
  • Evaluating existing systems to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to meet customer requirements and ensure successful migration to the cloud
  • Establishing applicable standards and practices for development through the Developer’s Forum(s) and the Sponsor’s Enterprise Technical Architecture
  • Coordinating with programmers to ensure proper implementation according to systems specifications
  • Attending conferences or training and keeping study technical journals to keep up with changes in technology
  • Evaluating current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, compatibility, or usability in the cloud ecosystem
  • Other duties, as assigned

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Deep technical understanding of AWS and the ability to produce technical solutions, answer and troubleshoot AWS issues, and produce cloud architectures based on the customer’s requirements
  • Strong knowledge of the Sponsor’s technical landscape
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a dynamic team and manage multiple projects and deadlines

Education & Experience Required:

  • 12 Years of job-related experience and High School/GED diploma
  • 10 Years of job-related experience and Associates degree
  • 8 Years of job-related experience and Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 Years of job-related experience and Master’s degree
  • 4 Years of job-related experience and Doctorate

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience utilizing command-line interfaces, scripting, and queries
  • Experience with task automation via PowerShell, Python, Bash, and REST
  • Familiarity with Splunk
  • Demonstrated experience with incident management, change management, and problem management business processes
  • Experience in customer service is preferred

Desired Certifications:

  • The following certs or the ability to obtain within 6 months after start:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
