CACI is seeking a Journeyman-Level Mechanical Engineer within the CACI's Aerospace Solutions Group, you will be responsible for generating Technical Data Packages (TDP) for various DoD test systems. If you are looking to invent your future CACI would like to speak with you.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Design work will be required for mechanical systems
TDPs will include various drawing types (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and will be generated using 3-D and 2-D design tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
Research, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical or thermal-hydraulic systems.
Apply knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, or manufacturing to these activities.
Write test procedures, compile and evaluate the design, and test data and prepares technical specifications.
Recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes
Coordinate with technical support personnel to conduct prototype or experimental runs for products or processes
More About the Role:
You will be part of a fast-paced work environment striving to meet contract deadlines/milestones and work with design engineers to capture design and manufacturing/fabrication specifications.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3 years (or more) professional experience.
Professional work developing mechanical/electrical drawings from conceptual design using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other design capture tools (3-D and 2-D drawings).
Basic understanding of lab equipment: digital multimeter, oscilloscope, closed-loop servo systems, AC and DC power supplies, etc.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000B.
Knowledge of ASME Y14.
Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards.
