CACI is seeking a Modeling and Simulation (Mod-Sim) operator to employ the ACE-IOS suite at the Joint Staff (JS) J7 facility in Suffolk, Virginia.
Under minimal supervision, act as primary model operator and scenario developer for the Air, Space, and Cyberspace Constructive Environment – Information Operations System (ACE-IOS) suite supporting training and exercises.
Support program office computer programmers providing other technical services such as computer software system design/development, installation, and integration planning, testing, and security administration.
Assist in the development of scenarios and other ACE-IOS simulation data requirements needed during the execution of exercises and training events. Work activities are performed under general guidelines and direction.
Design, build, and populate simulation databases based on customer exercise requirements.
Perform technical development and consultant activities, coordinating between software engineers and military personnel to develop and deliver highly complex military scenario simulations.
Provide computer system support for design, development, installation, integration, planning, and testing of new hardware and software.
Develop and maintain multiple information and exercise databases, using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access, Linux, SQL, and PERL script writing. Exercise Support; travels worldwide to various exercise locations for two to four-week periods.
Perform technical liaison activities, coordinating with military and government personnel to provide solutions to exercise issues. Operate the ACE-IOS suite of models.
Provide intelligence support for contingency operations, battle staff and operational-level planning, joint and multi-lateral training exercises, and strategic engagement policy throughout the Areas of Operational Responsibility (AOR) and Areas of Interest (AOI).
Research unclassified and classified databases for use in written products and simulation scenario development.
May serve as a client liaison and coordinates with sub-contractors, government personnel, and technical experts.
Technical Degree – Intelligence, Communication, Mathematics, Sciences, etc.
Three years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment.
Ability to work on computers for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face.
May spend a lot of time standing due to exercise conditions.
A TS/SCI clearance is required to begin employment. For this position, CACI has the ability to provide clearance sponsorship for qualified individuals.
