Job Description

CACI is seeking an experienced Electronic Technician in support of the NSWCCD Facilities Division (Code 89) to conduct electrical/electronic instrumentation system maintenance and development in support of Test and Evaluation of DoD systems.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Skill in assembling, operating, and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems.

  • Knowledge of standard electronics lab equipment and their operation (Voltmeter; Oscilloscope; Signal Generator; Counter, etc.)

  • Ability to perform basic model instrumentation calibrations.

  • Familiarity with the operational characteristics of rechargeable battery systems, and their proper maintenance.

  • High skill level in soldering techniques.

  • Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics.

  • Ability to prototype a circuit or develop a circuit board from a schematic.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • A Secret Security clearance is the minimum requirement to begin employment. As a requirement of continued employment, you will be required to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • Minimum of 5 years of variable electrical and electronics technician experience.

  • Knowledge of the maintenance and repair of electrical/electronic systems including power supplies, servo motor controllers and battery chargers.

  • Basic knowledge in the safe operation of machine tools.

  • Knowledge of fundamental electrical/electronic design principles and how to apply them.

  • Ability to strongly contribute to a project by providing recommendations to improve tasks.

  • Ability to complete assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision.

  • Ability to prototype a circuit or develop a circuit board from a schematic.

  • Lift up to 40-lbs and work in a Test Facility Environment.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
