CACI is looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator in support to our client in Afghanistan.
Ensure computer servers and workstations operate at optimal performance and capacity: configure routers, gateway protocols, and multiple local area networks (LAN) and wide areas network (WAN) topologies such as bridges, token rings, point to point, fiber optic, thin-net and thick-net applications.
Daily management of site network andcomputersystems such as user administration,backupand user accounts management.Enforce serverandworkstationconfiguration standards
These networks can include satellite or other special intelligence networks
Troubleshoot and monitor performance of cryptographic/encryptionitems
Administer UNIX,LINUXandMicrosoftservers supporting Internet, email, and videoteleconferencing services
Administer useraccountinformation,performance monitoring/tuning, data backupsandrestoration,systemand network troubleshooting
Monitor allnetworks using network managementsoftware.
Plan and install operatingsystemandapplicationsoftwareupgradesandenhancements. Test, installand maintain software tools andutilities
Provide customerservice to troubleshootand resolve problems
Supports US Army IT systems on site wheneverandwhereverdeployed. Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reactiontechnical support to US forcesworldwide military contingency missions andrequirements in potentially hazardousworkenvironments
Able to maneuver in small spacesand lift up to 50lbs
Education and Experience:
RequiresBachelor'sDegree in Computer Science or ManagementInformationSystems or related field from an accredited college/university and six years of demonstratedexperience in the System Administration field and certification shall include but not limited to the following:
MS Windows Certification
VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
IAT Tier I Certification
Knowledge and SkillRequirements:
Expert levelknowledge of current version of Scripting,UNIX System Administration, WindowsNT administration,LAN/WAN,Networking Protocols and DomainNameService
Must be familiarwithLAN-based video teleconferencing standards and streaming video-on-demand
Understanding of multimediaandinternet-basedmessaging such asvoice,e-mail,universal messaging over standard platforms
Experience with networkanalyzers,probes and protocol diagnostics.
Expert levelknowledge of TCP/IPinternals, routing, addressing,sub-nettingand design issues of routers, hubs etc.
Knowledge of security operations such as security safeguardsadministration,access filter definitionandpenetrationtesting
Expert level ability to implement network security controlservices such asfirewallsandadvancedAuthenticationSystems
Expert leveladministrationexperience on current version ofsatellite,database,UNIXandMS NT serverandExchange Messaging systems.Recentexperience troubleshooting encryptiondevices
Able to attain currentrequiredcertifications/clearance requirements for working on a DOD network. These are identified by site andnetwork
Demonstrated experience with NetworkInterfaceSystems,Network File SystemandOpen SystemInterconnect.
Fluent in the EnglishLanguage (written/oral)
US Citizen. Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704
Some positions or assignments may require a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph, especially those requiring access to TDN2
