What You’ll Get to Do: CACI has an immediate need for an Administrative Assistant who will provide essential administrative and technology support for the operation of the Division of Management Services (DMS) and Scientific Review and Evaluation Activities (SREA) Program Services at the National Institute of Health (NIH), Center for Scientific Research (CSR). They will support and coordinate the review of research grant applications to further the mission of CSR.
More About the Role
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and analytical support to several operation of the Center for Scientific Research. The Administrative Assistant should expect to fulfill the following responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise in the areas of human resources, ethics, and administrative office support, including in the performance evaluation program.
Prepare reports (ad hoc and recurring) from the Human Resources Database.
Provide administrative support the Executive Officer by scheduling meetings, maintaining their calendar, managing signed documents, etc.
Monitor performance by quantitatively and qualitatively analyzing program data in order to document trends and brief senior leadership on program efficacy and recommend strategic plans for improvement
Provide proactive customer service and independently handle all incoming requests and refer more complex matters to CSR staff members
Work with the Administrative Office on security and facility matters; Serve as receptionist, greet and screen visitors, escort visitors to and from security, receive telephone calls, screen callers and take messages.
Maintain Division Director’s calendar; Maintain Division Director and RTA supplies
Provide support to search committees by reserving meeting space, planning and vouchering travel for candidates or persons invited to attend meeting.
Run QVR Reports as needed for RTA; update documents on a weekly or daily basis, depending on preference
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
3+ years relevant work experience
Master’s or bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience interacting with a diverse customer base.
Proven analytic, verbal, and written communication skills.
Excellent computer and IT skills.
Proven ability to problem solve.
Experience with the tools and processes used for data collection and analysis.

Ability to prioritize, organize and be a team player.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to interact in a professional manner and promote positive relationships with both staff and customers (hotel representatives and reviewers).

Ability to perform job function with minimal supervision and flexibility.
Comfort and proficiency with the tools and processes used for data collection and analysis (e.g., excel spreadsheets, etc.).
Ability to be a clear thinker who can remain calm under pressure and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
