CACI is seeking a Emergency Management System SME who will be responsible for defining and developing business plans, processes, policies, roles and responsibilities, communication, and performance metrics.
Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs. Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff. Plan and direct disaster response or crisis management activities, provide disaster preparedness training, and prepare emergency plans and procedures at the direction of IPAWS PMO. Provide expert recommendations for 24/7 service desk and implementation. Duties may include developing strategic plans and transition plans, conducting research and analyses of business practices, performing cost/benefit analyses, implementing process improvements, designing, and implementing communication strategies and plans, and facilitating organizational change to improve organizational performance and service levels. Individuals in this job family have regular interaction with clients. This is a highly skilled, customer focused position.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
BA/BS + 7 YRS
Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) experience in multiple systems is required.
Supervises employees, typically junior or mid-level
Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
Problems faced may be challenging, but typically are not complex
Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders
May influence others regarding system design, solutions, and procedures
Subject Matter Expert in emergency management with specific experience in IPAWS alerting and technical support.
Provides strategic advice with expertise in alert and warning functions with specifications in Alerting Authorities IPAWS training, tests, and exercises
Advise Project Lead and PMO with IPAWS Lab development, strategies, and transition plans to support Operations:
Interview and provide recommendations for Tier- level new hires
Train staff on IPAWS-OPEN
Create and lead functional IPAWS exercises, tabletops, and evaluation to support AA’s
Recommend staff scheduling based on best practices, evaluate effectiveness every 3 months
Available to support 24/7 timeframe
IPAWS Lab staff training sessions and scenario-based exercises, and tabletops
Identify strengths and weakness
Regional training initiatives on IPAWS-OPEN
Evaluate trends and monitor metrics
Provide recommendations and corrective action plan
