Job Description

CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our TSA IT Management, Performance Analysis, and Collaborative Technologies (IMPACT) team in the National Capital Region (NCR) and throughout the United States. CACI provides a variety of IT services through IMPACT including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services. CACI supports TSA in both classified and unclassified IT operational environments increasing availability and security for a variety of applications and systems. IMPACT services will integrate with the broader DHS mission and enhance existing Department-wide IT capabilities.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The desired candidate will support application and database activities in managing and maintaining multiple Oracle RDBMS environment instances in support of the TSA Infrastructure IMPACT program operations, maintenance, and deployment with the flexibility to add additional instances based on capacity planning and emerging new government requirements.  The selected candidate will ensure production uptime service levels are maintained and made available per requirements that include source file acquisition, data loading of various data types (eg. xml, flat files, Oracle dmp, SQL server, etc.), DDL/DML/SQL execution, table and schema creation, table maintenance, data migration between data centers, etc. and security (physical and data). General Oracle database support activities will include: database sizing, cloning, testing, performance tuning debugging, replication, backups, restores, disaster recovery, and ongoing support to include status checks and critical patch updates.

More About the Role:

  • Plans and responds to service outages including backup and restore
  • Monitors system performance diagnosing software and hardware failures to resolution
  • Provides patch management and distribution capabilities to prevent new threats with minimized physical infrastructure impacts
  • Creates and tests data backups
  • Provides data cleansing services, verifies data integrity, and implements access controls
  • Assists developers of data exposure services with engagement of the various databases
  • Performs database configuration, monitoring, and tuning
  • Routine maintenance including problem defect analysis and resolution, space, storage, object management, physical database layout, rollback segment management, and temporary space management
  • Supports logs and alerts, access rights and roles, database instance version control. New IDs, roles, authorizations, audits, locked/unlocked status, revocation
  • Performs memory usage monitoring, database parameter configuration, database resources, I/O distribution. Ensures system health, maintenance, technical security, recovery, and basic application technical tuning
  • Maintains Oracle Critical Upgrades and patch management schedules
  • Supports testing and fielding efforts as needed. Supports Systems Sustainment efforts as needed
  • Supports Systems Development, Migration, and Integration efforts as needed
  • Significant contributor to work plans for security analysis and recommendations

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required
  • An active Entrance on Duty (EOD) is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment
  • BA/BS degree and 10 years of related experience
  • 5+ years hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience in Solaris and LINUX environments
  • 4+ years’ experience working as a DBA
  • Solid understanding of Oracle database and Solaris
  • Solid experience installing, configuring, upgrading and tuning Oracle 11g/12c on Solaris & Linux
  • Experience implementing Oracle Database Vault
  • Experience supporting Oracle Golden Gate
  • Experience working within a structured change management process
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills 
  • Must be available to participate in the on-call rotation and work occasional weekends and/or holidays as scheduled
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12c, Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and have Unix shell scripting, SQL Scripting and PL/SQL experience
  • Detail oriented

  • ITIL v4 required within 90 days of hire

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle Access Manager (OAM), and/or Oracle Internet Directory (OID)
  • Good working knowledge of SAN vSAN technologies
  • Experience with volatile storage and recovery techniques
  • Experience with Oracle Superclusters
  • Experience working in DISA and working with the DISA STIG environment
  • Experience with DoD database security requirements is a major plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of Oracle SQL or PL/SQL development experience
  • Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional, preferred
  • Migrating, operating and maintaining cloud-based database (Azure/AWS
  • Active DoD Clearance preferred, but not required
